Obituary

Jennifer Anne Womack, of Astoria, Oregon, passed from this earth on Monday, August 15th, 2011 at 7:05pm. She was born on May 31st, 1973 in Oregon City, Oregon to Thomas Knarr Ray and Katherine Kay (Krout) Ray. Survivors include her loving husband Chris Womack, her three children Patience (12), Hope (7), and Christian (6), parents Thomas and Kay Ray, Grandparents Henry and Anna Krout, and siblings Lisa Ray (42), Christopher Ray (39), Andrew Ray (36) and Jonathan Ray (34).

Jen grew up in Knappa, Oregon and graduated from Knappa High School in 1991 where she was an honor student and active in both cheerleading and drama. She married Christopher Paul Womack in Hammond, Oregon on March 20, 1993. Always a loving mother and devoted wife, she enjoyed traveling and making memories with her husband and children. She had many dear friends who surrounded her and loved her for who could resist that smile and open heart. Jen was very involved with the church body at Coastline Christian Fellowship. Her faith was strong and sustained her through her four and a half year battle with cancer. She never complained, always shined her beautiful smile, and leaned on her Jesus for strength and grace. “Be still and know that I am God.” Her soul was at peace then and is at rest now. Her beauty and grace will never be forgotten.
